Here are five recent extensions and partnerships of national payers:

1. Humana announced on November 10 that it is adding veterans to its list of Bold Goal communities. The initiative aims to address the social determinants of health in specific communities across the country.

2. Anthem acquires Integra Managed care, the company announced on November 10. If the deal goes through as planned, Anthem will absorb Integra’s 40,000 Medicaid members in the second quarter of 2022.

3. Chicago-based Zing Health has acquired Dallas-based insurer Lasso Healthcare, Zing Health said on Nov. 9.

4. Bright HealthCare Partners with MedArrive to Expand Home Care Offerings. Initially launched in Charlotte, North Carolina, to approximately 10,000 members, the partnership will leverage MedArrive’s EMS network for preventive home visits, the payer announced on November 9.

5. Cigna is revamping its Medicare Advantage approach in Connecticut, with expansion into New Haven County. The move also comes as Cigna appoints Debra Kaplan-Lewis as head of its Connecticut Medicare market.
