ORLANDO, FLORIDA, USA, Nov 30, 2021 /EINPresswire.com/ – When WCI invited Tower MSA Partners to produce the first day of its Medicare Secondary Payer (MSP) compliance track, Tower asked representatives from Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to launch a trio of MSP panels.

“This is the 20th anniversary of the CMS Medicare Reserve Review (MSA) program,” said Dan Anders, Tower Compliance Director. “We thought this would be a great opportunity for participants to listen and ask questions of key decision makers on all issues related to the application of PSM.

The section will begin at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, December 14, with a CMS City Council covering issues such as the implementation of the PAID Act and how not to run into CMS when submitting an MSA. The video panelists will be Deputy Director of MSP Program Operations Jackie Cipa, Director of MSP Program Operations Steve Forry and John Jenkins, Jr., Health Insurance Specialist, MSP Program Operations Division, CMS. Anders will animate the town hall.

At 2:00 p.m., it’s “Don’t Forget Medicare Contingent Payments! Hosted by Tower COO Kristine Dudley and starring Rasa Fumagalli, MSP Compliance Director with Synergy Settlement Solutions, and Heather Schwartz Sanderson of The Sanderson Company.

“Conditional payment issues often take a back seat in MSAs,” said Dudley. “These experts will show you how to pay off Medicare conditional payments and Medicare Advantage plan claims with confidence, for both the injured worker and the payer.”

Anders returns as a panelist with Ametros General Counsel Shawn Deane and Mark Meyer, claims attorney for the Montana State Fund, for the 3:15 pm session, “It’s always okay to submit an MSA. Sanderson will lead this discussion designed to show how to balance care, cost and compliance to secure a CMS approved MSA.

The 75th annual WCI conference will be held December 12-15 at the Orlando World Center Marriott. Please see https://www.wci360.com/conference/.
